Biology 1 Biomolecules Candy Model and Research
Biology 1 Biomolecules Poster and Presentation
The students will design a biomolecule of their choice. Their research will contain examples of three biomolecules: carbohydrates, proteins and lipids. The presentation/research will contain illustrations that demonstrate the chemical structure of each biomolecule and may feature an illustration that represents its function in a living system. It will reference a specific biomolecule and its significant function in a living system. Students may choose a nucleic acid if they desire.

Work is done with fair effort, but the quality is still not what the learners are capable of. It is evident that the work was rushed.
Poor
Work is done with little effort, quality is not what the learners are capable of. It is evident that the work was rushed and little time was spent on the final product. Work is incomplete.
Group Contribution
Exceeds
The group worked very well with each other and the presentation was shared equally among the group members.
Good
The group worked well with each other and communicated well. Some members participated slightly more than others
Fair
Group communicated relatively well with a few lapses in the presentation; some students dominated the presentation and others did not participate much
Poor
The group did not communicate well and there was considerable amount of disagreement. Not all students participated.
