Effort/Neatness	Excellent I stayed focused and on task for this project. I made this project look fantastic!	Good I spent each class period doing my best to stay focused on the project. I made it look neat and clean. I still need to work on erasing pencil marks or staying in the lines sometimes.	Fair I spent some time talking but focused mainly on completing my project. I tired to make it neat. I need to work harder on clearing erase marks, painting in the lines, or coloring evenly.	Poor I spent most of my time talking. I might have cared about the assignment but wanted to socialize instead. The project looks like I forgot about it most times. It's dirty or torn. It shows erase marks or the sloppy use of paint or other media.	Unacceptable I spent all of my time talking. I did not care about completing the work. The project looks like it's been crushed in the bottom of my backpack. It is torn or tattered. It is sloppy and messy.
Following Directions	Excellent I followed all of the directions and included all I was instructed to include.	Good I followed 90% of the directions.	Fair I followed most of the directions. I still left out a few things that should have been included.	Poor I might have listened to one or two things said by the teacher. I still did not follow directions as well as I should have.	Unacceptable I did not follow directions.
Creativity	Excellent I went all out to make this work amazing!	Good I stepped out of my comfort zone and added several creative ideas to the work.	Fair I added one or two things that make it personalized.	Poor I thought about doing something different. I decided it was too much work and gave up.	Unacceptable Creativity?! What's that? I did not attempt to be creative.
Art Skills	Excellent I decided to use 5-6 different elements of art, principles of design, and/or art techniques.	Good I decided to use a 3-4 different elements of art, principles of design, and/or art techniques.	Fair I decided to use 2 different elements of art, principles of design, and/or art techniques.	Poor I tried to focused on 1 element of art or principle of design and an art technique, but I gave up because it was too hard.	Unacceptable I did not focus on specific elements of art or principles of design.
Promptness	Excellent I turned it in ahead of time.	Good I turned in the assignment the day it was due.	Fair I turned in the assignment one day late.	Poor I turned in the assignment two days late.	Unacceptable I did not turn in the assignment.
