Famous Architect-Poster-Presentation Africian American Engineer/Scientist Project Students will research an famous Architect and present to the class. Black History Project
	Advanced 20 pts	Proficient 15 pts	Basic 10 pts	Below Basic 5 pts
Poster	Advanced The poster is creative and neat, containing the person's name, accomplishments and other facts about the Architect.	Proficient The poster is neat and creative, but missing facts about the Architect.	Basic The poster is messy and not very creative and missing key elements. No the Architects accomplishments, time line etc.	Below Basic Student did not complete a poster, or it is very messy and only focused on one area.
Research Paper	Advanced The report is factual and well researched. It is focused on the persons life and accomplishments. Explains the time period that the person lived. Paper is 2-3 pages double space no and font size 12. No spelling or grammar errors.	Proficient The report is well researched. Some facts or examples needed more detail. 1-2 grammar/spelling errors. Paper is not the required 2-3 pages incorrect spacing used and/or font size incorrect.	Basic The report was not well researched missing important elements: accomplishments, time period they lived and other facts about the person. 3-4 grammar/spelling errors. Paper is not the required 2-3 pages incorrect spacing used and font size incorrect.	Below Basic The report does not have a clear focus and show little research with no mention their accomplishments, life etc. 5 plus grammar/spelling errors. Paper is not the required 2-3 pages incorrect spacing used and font size incorrect.
Presentation	Advanced Student maintained eye contact during presentation, spoke clearly, and seemed very knowledgeable of their subject.	Proficient Student seemed very knowledgeable but had to look up some information every now and then.	Basic Student had to refer to notes during presentation or spoke too softly or not very clearly.	Below Basic Student does not seem to know what is going on or may have made up facts.
