Creativity	Excellent Totally original design. Creative use of line technique, textures, and subject matter to convey a clear message. Lots of experimentation with materials and techniques.	Good Some clever uses of tracing is evident. Original design. Many unique aspects, some experimentation with line techniques.	Fair Little evidence of creativity in design. Some unique aspects, but conventional overall. Little experimentation with materials.	Poor No inventive use of linear quality. Little imagination was used in process. No real message or idea displayed.
Workmanship	Excellent Print edges are neat and clean, with no fingerprints. Print is signed and named. It is evident that a great deal of pride was taken in the creation of the print.	Good Print edges are neat and clean, with one or two small fingerprints. Print is signed and named. It is evident that pride was taken in the creation of the print.	Fair Print edges are a bit messy, with a number of fingerprints. Print is signed and named. There is little evidence that pride was taken in the creation of the print.	Poor Print edges are messy, covered in fingerprints and smudges. Not signed or named. There is virtually no evidence that the student had any personal investment in the print.
Design	Excellent Tracing is method is effectively and fully realized. Student took full advantage of color use and tracing/transferring abilities. It is clear that the student took chances and experimented.	Good Tracing method is realized. Student took advantage of color and tracing/transferring abilities. The student experimented and took some chances.	Fair Tracing method has good attempt yet not fully realized. There is little to no experimentation. No layering and/or inadequate color usage.	Poor Realization of tracing method is not evident. There is no experimentation and the student did not utilize proper tracing method.
Effort	Excellent Student used production work period very effectively and was always on task.	Good Student used most of his/her production work period effectively and stayed on task most of the time.	Fair Student used some of the production work period effectively, however, got distracted and off task occasionally.	Poor Student did not use any of the production work period effectively and was constantly distracted and off task.
