Social Studies Project / Presentation Social Studies Project / Presentation Students will research information on a group that moved to the West in the 1800s. Students will present a mini-skit to show the reasons the group moved to the West, the hardships they faced, and the legacies they left. Content	Distinguished The presentation includes all required facts with no factual inaccuracies.	Proficient Presentation includes most relevant information; information is organized.	Developing Does not have all of the required facts and the presentation is a bit disorganized.	Begining The presentation is lacking in facts required. There are many gaps in information presented.
Work quality/effort	Distinguished The work done exceeds all expectations. The effort put into this task is the best it can be by the learner.	Proficient Work is done with good effort that shows the capability of the learner. It is evident that time was put into this project.	Developing Work is done with fair effort, but the quality is not what the learner is capable of. It is evident that the work was rushed or not given appropriate time and attention.	Begining Work is done with little effort, shows lack of quality, and may be incomplete. It is evident little time was spent on the final product.
Visual Aids/Props	Distinguished The visual aids have an element of creativity and style. Information is presented in a clear manner with full understanding of the subject.	Proficient The visual aids are clear and logical and contain facts with very few mistakes. Information is clear with fair understanding of the subject.	Developing The visual aids show some understanding of the subject matter, but contain errors. They lack meaning to the intended presentation. Developing The information presented is not clearly displayed consistently throughout the project.	Begining Not enough preparation was done for the presentation of the information. It lacks the expected organization and flow.
