Explanation 25 % *Elaborated and expanded ideas that connect the answer with the text.	Insufficient Response No explanation is given, or if one is given, it does not make sense.	Partially Sufficient Response Explanation is not specific enough. Needs more information.	Sufficient Response The explanation of the response is specific enough to show that the student can make connections throughout the text and draw valid conclusions.
