This is the PITS (Project Integrated with Tech & Science)! This is the PITS (Project Integrated with Tech & Science)! Students will design a slideshow presentation using Microsoft PowerPoint that demonstrates and explains the multi-phase process of Mitosis or Meiosis. All presentations need a title slide and credits slide. Every phase, including the original cell and final result, must have an image representation. Science Requirements
	Demonstrates Full Understanding 5 pts	Demonstrates Partial Understanding 3 pts	Does not demonstrate understanding 1 pts
Content	Demonstrates Full Understanding All the required information is included and the information is correct.	Demonstrates Partial Understanding Most of the required information is correct and/or some of the information is not correct.	Does not demonstrate understanding A lot of the required information is missing and/or a lot of the information is incorrect.
Images	Demonstrates Full Understanding Every image displays the correct phase.	Demonstrates Partial Understanding Some of the images do not display the correct phase.	Does not demonstrate understanding A lot of the images do not display the correct phase.
Explanations	Demonstrates Full Understanding Every explanation is detailed and describes what is happening during that phase accurately.	Demonstrates Partial Understanding Most of the explanations describe what is happening accurately, but there may be a few mistakes.	Does not demonstrate understanding Many of the explanations are inaccurate or have a lot of mistakes.
Technology Requirements

Slides/Images	Demonstrates Full Understanding The presentation includes the required minimum number of slides and images, depending on process chosen.	Demonstrates Partial Understanding The presentation is missing one or two required pieces.	Does not demonstrate understanding The presentation is missing a lot of required slides and/or images.
Design/Layout	Demonstrates Full Understanding Each slide shows appropriate and effective use of titles/headings, text boxes/object layout.	Demonstrates Partial Understanding Most slides show appropriate and effective use of titles/headings, text boxes/object layout. Some slides are not organized effectively.	Does not demonstrate understanding A lot of the slides are not organized effectively making the presentation hard to view.
Transitions/Animations	Demonstrates Full Understanding There is a smooth transition effect between every slide. At least one object on every slide has an animation that adds to the presentation.	Demonstrates Partial Understanding Most of the slides have a transition and/or most of the slides have at least one object animated. *Maybe a few of the transitions/animations are really distracting or take away from the presentation.	Does not demonstrate understanding Few slides have a transition, and/or few slides have at least one object animated. *Many of the transitions/animations are really distracting and take away from the presentation.
