My Country Project My Country Project The purpose of this unit is to facilitate student learning about the world in which we live. Students will receive a 'My Country' packet to complete. The student will pretend that he/she is going to visit their assigned country for 8-10 days and will make round trip travel arrangements to and from their assigned country. To be prepared for the trip, the student will use technology to conduct internet research in order to be able to answer questions about their assigned country’s resources, culture, government, religion, geography, political atmosphere, social events, recreational pastimes, history, economics, etc. After the student has gathered all of the research, they will synthesize the information and write a report about their country and then create a power point presentation to go with their report. My Country Project
	Poor Poor work is defined as not doing a good job and no real effort was put forth. 1 pts	Fair Fair work is defined as making an effort, but not really doing your best work. You are capable of doing much better. 2 pts	Good Good work is defined as following most of the directions and doing the best you can do. 3 pts	Excellent Excellent work is defined as following all of the criterion and doing the best work you can do. 4 pts
Location 5 pts	Poor Did not locate country on flat map.	Fair Located wrong country on flat map.	Good Located country on flat map. but did not follow all directions.	Excellent Followed all directions to identify assigned coutnry on flat map.
Geography Questions 10 pts	Poor Did not answer geography questions correctly, no real effort.	Fair Correctly answered some of the geography questions in your packet but made an effort to complete the packet.	Good Correctly answered most all of the geography questions in your packet.
