6E Group Presentation/Colonization of the Americas 8th Grade Group Presentation/Colonization of the Americas Students must present and teach their section of Chapter 4, detailing events leading to colonization of North America. They must have an organized plan on paper that explains how they will teach important points to the class. They must include an educational presentation , as well as a visual aid or handout to the class. Teacher is looking for creative and in-depth teaching of each lesson. Class Time Used	Poor Class time was wasted.	Fair Class time was adequately used during the school day.	Good Class time was used effectively and efficiently. It is noticeable that the group worked together outside of class time as well. (above and beyond expectations)
Visual aid/Assessment	Poor Neither one mentioned or used. Questions are all low level thinking.	Fair Both are mentioned and used. Questions used are low to medium level thinking.	Good Both are explained to class and used effectively. Handed to the teacher on time for photocopying. Questions are medium to high level thinking.
Presentation	Poor Presentation speaking is not understood because not loud enough, not clearly worded (mumbled), no eye contact	Fair Presentation speaking is understood by class, volume is loud enough and eye contact is adequate	Good Presentation speaking is engaging and eye contact is maintained.
