Discussion Forum On-line Rubric 
Each week there will be one or more discussion forum Blackboard assignments that require you to respond to assignment prompts and respond to a minimum of 2 other student in the class. Each assignment will have specific instructions explaining what you are expected to contribute and when the initial and peer responses are due. I will evaluate your discussion with the following rubric. It should be professionally conducted with respectful attitudes.

Promotes interaction and asks engaging questions or makes debatable remarks.

Demonstrates analysis of others’ posts; extends meaningful discussion by building on previous posts.

Elaborates on an existing posting with further comment or observation.

Repeats but does not add substantive information to the discussion.

Incorporates readings, research, and/or personal experiences

Uses references to readings, research, and/or personal experience to support comments.

Incorporates some references from readings, research, and/or personal experience.
