Poster	Excellent Student provides an exceptionally neat poster that accurately depicts the American symbol.	Good Student provides a poster that accurately depicts the American symbol.	Fair Student provides a poster that is mostly accurate.	Poor Student poster is incomplete or inaccurate.
Depth of Knowlege	Excellent Student addresses all assigned components of the project, including: (1) physical description, (2) historical background, (3) significance to the American people	Good 2 components are present.	Fair 1 component is present.	Poor Student displays little depth of knowledge of the symbol.
Research Information	Excellent Informational text is very detailed. Student writing is accurate with 0-1 error in spelling and punctuation.	Good Informational text is accurate with 2-3 errors in spelling and punctuation.	Fair Informational text is incomplete or inaccurate. There are 4-5 errors in spelling and punctuation.	Poor Informational text is incomplete with 1 fact or less provided. It may be only partially accurate or contain more than 5 errors in spelling and punctuation.
Oral Presentation	Excellent The oral presentation is well-rehearsed and indicates the student is very knowledgeable about the American symbol.	Good The oral presentation is accurate, but the student must read the information from the report.	Fair The oral presentation may contain inaccurate information and is confusing to the listener.	Poor The oral presentation fails to provide accurate information about the American symbol.
