International Cuisine Project 
The purpose of this project is to become knowledgable about the cuisine of a specific foreign country. To educate yourself about the history of the types of foods and eating habits identified with that country. To include recipes that are of interest to you and that would be easily incorporated into your daily meal planning

You will receive a mark for each country. This section is out of 25 possible points.

Poor

Does not have a title page for each country. Or any sort of division for each section. The flags are missing, the map is either incorrect or not included. Facts are inconsistent or not addressed. Special celebrations are not included. Special eating habits/customs are not identified. Information is not cited.
Fair

Minimum requirements have been met as indicated on the outline. There are several spelling and or grammar errors. The minimum length of the report has been met. Information has been cited.
Good

This student has met the minimum requirements and has used more than just wikipedia to gather information. Information has cited. Free of spelling and or grammar errors.
Excellent

This student has met the minimum requirements and has used a variety of sources to gather their information. Information has been cited and there are no spelling or grammar errors.
Recipe requirements

For this section I will be checking each recipe to ensure that each country has at least 3 recipes.

Poor

This student has not met the minimum requirement. There must be 3 recipes for each country.
Fair

The student has met the minimum requirements by including 3 recipes for each country.
Good

This student has obviously put effort into this project. The minimum requirements have been met. More over, the recipes are realistic. Are affordable and don't take hours upon hours to make.
Excellent

The minimum requirement of recipes have been met. But in addition to the required elements effort has gone into making this project a useful tool. Family recipes have been included, extra recipes have been included.
Recipe Format

Recipes must be cited and typed in the same format. You may choose to use either metric or imperial units of measure. *Exception will be given to those who choose to hand write recipes on recipe cards.

The student has not cited all of their recipes. Some are typed, some are hand written, some are printed directly from the internet. Units of measure are inconsistent.
Fair

This student has met the minimum requirements. All recipes are neatly presented. Some are typed, some are hand written. Not all are cited.
Units of measure are inconsistent or incorrect.

All of the recipes are neatly completed. They are typed, cited and in the correct format. Units are correct.
Excellent

All of the recipes are neatly completed. They are typed, cited and in the correct format. The student has included both imperial and metric units of measure. And has personalized the recipe sheets.
Creativity and Layout

These marks will be given based on the general presentation of the project. I will be looking for general aesthetics, overall flow and personalization of material.

Poor

Just pages in a binder or duo tang. Minimal attention to detail. It is possible that this project was completed the night before it was due.
Fair

This student has neatly compiled the project. It is in either a duo-tang, binder or project portfolio. The order of the project flows as indicated in the table of contents.
Good

This person has made this project their own. There is a table of contents, each section flows nicely. Effort has been clearly put into this project and it has been a pleasure to read through it.
Excellent

This person has gone above and beyond. They have embraced what this project is all about. There is a table of contents, each section flows nicely. Effort has been put into each section. You deserve this credit!
