CHOOSE YOUR OWN ADVENTURE
Upon completion of in-class practice of creating story maps and identifying and writing short stories that contain the main parts of a story, students will be able to effectively create a Choose Your Own Adventure (CYOA) story that contains multiple choices for readers to make. Students will then put their CYOA story into PowerPoint using descriptive text and graphics for other students to complete.

Book Trailer Project
Students are to create a book trailer for their independent reading book. The book should engage viewers and make the viewers WANT to read the book. Requirements include 1:45 minutes of video, music, titles, and some editing. Student's video MUST be relevant to the book.

Animal Adaptations: Plant/Animal Project
Students will write an animal adaptations report and build an adapted plant/animal diorama for the final project of science unit. Included will be a report with illustration of animal and important facts about animal. Also included will be a diorama describing the animals environment and adaptations for survival, and a verbal presentation to the class.

Create Your Own Country Grading Rubric
Student will be graded on the following areas of the project. To receive full credit in the "Topic Criteria" section, student must have all ten topics covered within their project. These topics include: flag, demographics, location of country, language, native rituals, online design of country map, country history, and the language of the students country.

Yeast Growth Investigation
Over the course of the semester we have been learning about micro organisms. We have found that when yeast becomes active then it produces carbon-dioxide and make tiny bubbles in a freshly cooked loaf of bread, causing it to rise. Now we are investigating a different micro-organism, mould. Complete the mould investigation planner by writing in your predictions, keeping up with your observations, flow chart and recording your results

Each project MUST INCLUDE: • A “cover page” with your name, title of book, author’s name, and a reader’s review • Illustrations representing the book • Some format representing the main characters, main plot line, major conflict and resolution and settings. • Grade-level effort in writing and illustrations. • Class activity is interactive and involves all students in the group.
