Follow the directions from Moodle. Course: Geology/Astronomy, Unit: Earth & Our Solar System. Make a scale 3D model of that celestial object within our solar system and present your model to the class.

Students will research their adopted element and determine the following: abbreviation, atomic number, atomic mass,number of protons and neutrons, number of energy levels, periodic table group, state at room temperature, boiling point, melting point,color,density,common isotopes, whether it exists naturally or is synthetic, its source, whether it is essential to life, its common (and uncommon) uses, any hazards involved in using it, and its history including when, where, and by whom it was discovered.

Students groups will be assigned a specific animal. Poster board will contains facts classmates should know about that particular animal. In addition, a model of your animal will be required. When both are complete, a small presentation will be given to the class. We will then have a Science Fair Museum Day where other students and faculty will visit and learn all about your interesting discoveries and models.

The students will be graded based on their accuracy in the model they have made.

This is an assessment rubric to evaluate a students participation in assignements and their level of comprehension about plants and gardening.

How are these achievements and contributions helping our world today? 4. What would have you done if you lived during the time Leonardo da Vinci lived?

Students will apply the scientific method in this experiment

Can the strength of an electromagnet be changed by increasing the voltage of the power source? Can the strength of an electromagnet be changed by increasing the number of coils wrapped around the core?
