After watching Thor and researching a hero/ legendary person students were to create a powerpoint presentation.

Students will incorporate information from individual research investigations into a visual representation following the specified criteria.

You will be finding out and presenting what your religion is like to others in the group You will be researching and presenting information about the religion. You could use the sub-headings below, however you can add to these. • Historical background information • Basic belief system (one god, many gods, etc.) • Sacred texts • Key leaders • Sacred spaces and places • Rituals, services, or ceremonies • Symbolism • Holidays, festivals and celebrations • Demographics (how many people are members of this religion, what parts of the world, etc.)

The students are to rewrite a fairytale from another point of view.

Write a news article about a local event for a student newspaper. Write a headline and a subhead. Begin with a strong lead. Answer the questions who, what, when, why (or how), and where in your article. Use at least 2 sources/quotes and include necessary stats. Sports articles must be 150 words, news articles 200 words. All stories must have art (photo or graphic).

Plan: This rubric is designed to evaluate a semester ending short story that students create for a multi-grade high school (10, 11, 12) Creative Writing class. Students are expected to meet requirements that exemplify the skills learned in class to create a compelling and well-organized fictional narrative. The rubric is in regards to MLA written forms of English, as well as respecting privacy and copyright law when working with creative works meant for submission.

Original Script and Dramatic Performance: An assessment of dramatic performances based on an aspect of the novel Of Mice and Men

The students will work on their own to put together a poster for display. The poster will contain relevant information directly related to the topic selected by the student. The poster should have areas segmented that directly reflect the outline created by the student. The poster will be designed on either poster board (full-sized poster board) or tri fold poster board. The student is required to explain their poster to the class and teacher

Students will create at a 24 word crossword puzzle based on the chapter Movement of Peoples (1750-1901). This crossword will use glossary words and show knowledge and understanding of each section of the chapter.

Write a script for a television commercial (30 seconds long) using the persuasive techniques discussed in class. Produce a comprehensive and thoughtful story board and script before any filming can take place on the Ipads.
