Candidate Interview and Selection Rubric

Students will be graded on their interviews based on the following criteria

Analyze the structure of texts, including how specific sentences, paragraphs, and larger portions of the text relate to each other and the whole. Informational text: Describe the overall structure (e.g., chronology, comparison, cause/effect, problem/solution) of events, ideas, concepts, or information in a text or part of a text.

Creating a stuntman vest

The student will demonstrate their knowledge of a famous cowboy of their choice by presenting a wanted poster about the cowboy.

Scientific Method: The student will be able to relate the steps in the Scientific Method and why and how each step is critical to the proper conduct of a scientific experiment.

Students will research information on Black Cowboys during the late 1800's.

The students will work on their own to put together a poster for display. The poster will contain relevant information directly related to the topic selected by the student. The poster should have areas segmented that directly reflect the outline created by the student. The poster will be designed on either poster board (full-sized poster board) or tri fold poster board. The student is required to explain their poster to the class and teacher

Students selected a manufactured good and research the natural resources used to make the product.

Students will create a food web consisting of organisms found in a specific ecosytem that they choose. Each student must name the organisms, identify the abiotic and biotic factors in the habitat, show the flow of energy in the food web, classify the organism as producer, consumer (primary, secondary, or tertiary), or decomposer; and indicate human impact in that ecosystem.

The students are studying about the Allied Power/Central Power flag and what it represents. Students were asked to create a flag representing the Allied Power/Central Power and write the role they played in WWI
