Students re to watch a documentary of their choice. Using what they have learned in class about the genre and technical elements of film making they are to write a movie review.

Students chose a documentary to view and independently review regarding food and nutrition.

Students will present a farewell speech to say goodbye to the 6th grade class and reminisce on moments they enjoyed during the year. They will be assessed on content and delivery.

Students must write a monologue and perform it from memory. The monologue must revolve around a personal experience with internal or external conflict.

"Where I'm From" or "Self-Refracted" poem. At least 20 lines long.

Write a short story that develops an explicitly stated theme by incorporating specific song lyrics

Students will create an original script as a final project. The script can can be on the topic of their choice. The final draft must be typed in proper script format. The script must be a minimum of 10 minutes in final performance format.

After reading and analyzing the play, "Montana Jones and the Gymnasium of Doom" you should have a good idea of the textual structure of a play. You will write a play based upon your life. You may make up the actions if need be. Be sure to include all of the elements of a play.

Students have selected one of the sonnet types below and have written an original sonnet based on that structure (Spencerain, Petrachan, or Shakespearean). They are expected to employ, manipulate, and recite various poetic devices with mastery during the rectial of this original sonnet. Please use the rubric below and grade them accordingly. Place this rubric in my box after it is completed. Thank you for taking the time to listen to and grade these sonnets.

Poetry Project This project is the final assessment in the unit of Poetry. This is a three week task wherein students compile different poems to analyze personal song, favorite class, unlike class and through different figurative language, different sentence structure and conjunctive adverb.

Poetry Portfolio: This project is the final assessment in the unit of Poetry. This is a three and half week task wherein students compile original poetry done in class showcasing the use of imagery, sound effects and rhyming. Types of poems include Alliterative, Concrete, Limerick, Synonym, 3 Word, Couplet, Sonnet, I Am, Ode, Narrative and Free Verse all presented in one portfolio.
