Looking at the whole of the portfolio, the intent is to demonstrate not only insightful writing and examples of skill in a particular technological medium, but to show an openness to new ideas, to show the growth that has been made and to show the will and desire to constantly improve as a teacher.

My first entry, in custom 1, was actually the call of duty, as it was a fourth entry and included personal work that came as an outgrowth from the course.  I placed it first because of my pride in its construction, and because its existence serves as a testament to my overall improvement through this semester as a student and as a teacher.

My second entry, custom 2, was chosen because I felt it demonstrated my ability to critically analyze the issues that accompanied our study.  I feel it was an interesting and valuable insight, and believe it shows my ability to recognize such issues and to effectively impart the concept to the reader.  I included the follow up text to show willingness to continue improving upon an idea and to respond to the assessment and questions of the reader.

The third entry was in fact two entries, the first of which I feel is no longer a representative text for my abilities.  The second entry shows growth in an important skill for making education more engaging, besides providing greater depth of information in the assigned subject.  The difference between the two highlights the improvement made during the semester.
