As a requirement of Methods, I was obligated to complete a total of ten (10) hours of field work.  In order to this, I spoke with Mrs. Sherry, a fourth (4th) grade teacher and Ms. Knight, the principal of Goshen Intermediate School.  The two of them agreed that I could complete these hours with them.  Mrs. Sherry's classroom and students were so accpeting to me. I got to teach three lessons to them each dealing with a specific method of teaching. Through this, I learned from experience, I was able to respond to corrective criticism, I demonstrated responsability and  most importantly, I was able to self evaluate myself on my skills and preperation.  This was a great experience for me as I am a hands on learner.  This task got me very excited as I will be student teaching in the Fall of 2008.  I will apply all of the skills and methods that I have been taught throughout our class lectures, meetings, and experience that I recieved.

Although the lessons that I had perpared were for younger students, I was able to teach them as it was a self-contatined classroom.  Out of the twelve (12) students that were in the class, six (6) were classified and six (6) weren't.  Their learning disabilities ranged from not being able to read, hyper active and one was slightly autisic.  Each and every child was beautiful and interesting in their own way.  It was a pleasure to teach them and gain knowledge from them.
