Group Evaluation

At the end of this leadership practicum, we achieved our goals of organizing a community wide event, raising awareness and money for a cause, possibly getting legislature passed in Georgia, and hopefully having our walk become an annual event.  We learned how to work as a team to get more accomplished, talk to the public to get them interested in our event, and how to get our message out to the public.  Organizing this event gave us the oppurtunity to inform the public about the dangers of smoking.  As a group we worked very close and met our deadlines at a resonable time.  It was nice to have two different leadership styles in coordinating this event.  Rachel was good at keeping everything organized and putting together the presentation.  Tracy lead the way for promoting this event and in the end our hard work paid off.  After completing this project we both felt a sense of accomplishment.  Doing this for the community was very rewarding and we look forward to participating in other events such as the Relay for Life.
