Autobiography

A native of the Pacific Northwest, I spent a great deal of my childhood moving around with my family from Newfoundland to Hawaii and many places in between; courtesy of the U.S. Navy. Throughout my adult years it has been a privilege to teach and care for young children of diverse backgrounds from birth to twelve years of age and interact with their families. These cultural experiences were lessons in adaptability that helped me become the person I am today and the teacher I will become.

Going back to school to further and complete my own education has greatly added to and enhanced that fact. Currently an Elementary Education major at Everett Community College I am due to graduate with an Associate in Arts and Science in the spring of 2008. From there I intend to pursue a Bachelor of Arts in Education with Special Education Major, followed by a Masters in Education. At this time, I am preparing my applications for acceptance to Western Washington University's Woodring College of Education.
