My Bio

My Short Autobiography

Born in Cleveland, Ohio in June of 1982.

I received my G.E.D. in October 2005 and began college at Indiana University at South Bend in January 2006.  I started out as a Political Science major but during my first college semester I discovered my love for foreign languages, particularly Spanish.

Previously, I met my fiance in November 2004 who lived where I am now, Detroit, Michigan.  He is the reason I came to Detroit to continue my studies after beginning them at IU-South Bend.  In May 2006, I moved to Detroit and continued classes at Henry Ford Community College.

I was admitted into the Henry Ford Honors Program in the middle of the Fall '06 semester and began Honors classes in the Winter '07.  Professor Secrest is my Honors Program Advisor.

I spend my volunteer hours tutoring students of English in the Learning Resource Lab on Thursday mornings from 10am-11am with Dr. Kearly.

In August (2007) I am continuing my studies at the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor.  There I plan to graduate with majors in Spanish and Philosophy, and minors in Political Science and International Studies (or vice versa on the Poly Sci and Philosophy).  After undergrad, I plan to continue to Law School and become a Juris Doctor.

My hope is to become a Lawyer practiciting International Law and teach at the college level in a local university.  I believe in giving back to the community to which one belongs.

I have recently been honored with becoming the President of the Student Environmental Association.  With as much as I care about the planet and the environment, I hope to make a true difference in the world and help those who care as much as I do in succeeding in this difficult task.
