NY FIELD TRIP

                           

 

 

 

 

New York is the fashion capital of the US, and its unique contributions to US and global fashion.  

 

I went the New York Fashion Study Tour June 16 - 22, 2007. 

 

The tour purpose is :

  • to gain knowledge about the various sectors of the fashion industry such as textile and apparel manufactures, retail, ancillary, and how they work independently and together.

 

  • to become aware of career opportunities in the field of fashion.

 

  • to gain knowledge of the backgrounds and philosophies of well-known New York fashion industry in the field of fashion.

 

  • to compare the New York and San Francisco fashion industries.

 

 

We went to showrooms: Nautica, Donna Ricco, Kate Spade, Miller & Berkowitz Furrier, Fishman and Tobin.  I learned the process of the product development and career opportunities.  

 

We also went to various retail stores; Burberry, Henri Bendel, Barnes.  We had a great opportunities to hear valuable stories.  

 

 

Of course, we went to Madison Avenue, So Ho, Nolita, Ellis Island, and so on.

 

 

 

 

 

 Adel Rootstein is mannequin showroom.  There was artistic and awesome place.
