Grading criteria for chemical reactions think-tac-toe

Student will design and construct a Catapult that will throw a ball a minimum of 15 feet . The catapult will be judged on looks, accuracy and distance with the results being calculated by a spreadsheet.

Bridges are made out of popsicle sticks, dowel rods and glue. The bridge must contain the following: the name of (truss, etc) bridge, a well drawn design Bridge structure is neatly built & the bridge structure must reflect the type of bridge named.

The Task: Each pair or small group of students will build 3 paper airplanes using only the materials listed below. One paper airplane should be designed to fly as far as possible (farthest distance). Build one other paper airplane to stay in the air as long as possible (longest hang time). One paper air plane designed to fly in a straight line (accuracy). Build one paper airplane to hit a teacher designated target (closest).

Designing a marshmallow shooter

Students will get into groups of four to five people and construct a tower using raw spaghetti and marshmallows. The goal is to build the highest tower without it toppling over. They will all work under a time constraint.

This is a rubric I made for a presentation where students are required to present on at least one (no more than three) circuit devices from each of the four (4) categories; Control Devices, Load Devices, Safety Devices and Power Sources.

Find a fictional character that meets criteria for one or more psychological disorders in the DSM-V. Write a 2 page paper that discusses the following information: 1. A brief biography of the character 2. A current picture of what is going on in the character's life 3. The symptoms the character is exhibiting 4. The DSM-V diagnoses that have criteria met from these symptoms; or the ones that are not met and what is missing from the symptoms presented (e.g. subclinical; NOS; V codes)
