Goals

    When working on this project, we started to realize that there are many women out there who either knew nothing about the Human Papillomavirus (HPV) or were misinformed on the subject.  We want to educate the female community about the risks, prevention, and new vaccination for HPV.  Males will not be excluded from this information.  We want to educate men in hopes that they will pass on the information to their mothers, sisters, and loved ones.  The whole idea of the project is to pass on the education and spread the word...not the disease.

    In educating the public about HPV, we also have some personal goals set out for ourselves as healthcare professionals.  We want to learn how to effectively and clearly communicate to people of all different levels of education and income.  We want to actively observe different types of people and learn what it is that motivates each individual to make a commitment to their health.  And in the end, we want to learn how we can continue educating our friends, families, and community about HPV, so that this is an ongoing project.
