Weaving

Warp (Up An Down Lines)	4 Student wrapped the warp yarns correctly around the loom and through the notches at each end. Student wrapped the yarn an odd number of times. Warp is wrapped tightly on the loom.	3 Student did not wrap the yarn the correct number of times or did not wrap the warp tightly on the loom.	2 Student incorrectly wrapped the warp yarns.	1 or 0 Student did not prepare the warp on the loom. Assignment is incomplete.
Weft (Left and Right Lines)	4 Student correctly wove the weft yarns without errors. (over/under) Yarn is woven tightly though the warp so warp does not show and shape remains rectangular- does not pull inward.	3 Weft yarns are mostly woven correctly with a few errors.	2 Weft yarn has many errors and/or weft yarns are very loose. Student did not understand the weaving technique.	1 or 0 Student did not weave any weft yarns/weaving is incomplete.
Colors and Pattern	4 Weaving has 4 or more colors. cllearly shows a pattern and fills the entire loom	3 Weaving has 4 colors but it does not demonstrate a pattern. Or Weaving uses 3 or less colors but does show a pattern. Fills over 3/4 of the loom.	2 Weaving uses 3 or less colors and.or does not use a pattern Fills lslightly less than 3/4 of the loom.	1 or 0 Weaving is incomplete. Fills half or less of the loom.
Craftsmanship	4 Student carefully completed the weaving with no errors. Yarn ends are tucked into the weaving.	3 Weaving is mostly neat with a few areas that could be improved upon.	2 Weaving appears messy. Student needs to work on craftsmanship when completing assignments.	1 or 0 Weaving is incomplete.
Time and Effort	4 Class time was used wisely. Much time and effort went into the planning and creation of the weaving.	3 Most of the class time was used wisely, but the student could have been more focused during the creation of the weaving. (Student needed some reminders to stay on task.)	2 Class time was not used wisely and student put little effort into the assignment.	1 or 0 Assignment is incomplete due to lack of focus or effort or too many tardies or absences.
