Work quality/effort	Excellent The work done exceeds all expectations. The effort put into this task is the best it can be by the learner.	Good Work is done with good effort that shows the capability of the learner. It is evident that time was put into this project.	Fair Work is done with fair effort, but the quality is not what the learner is capable of. It is evident that the work was rushed.	Poor Work is done with little effort, shows lack of quality, and may be incomplete. It is evident little time was spent on the final product.
Totem Pole	Excellent The totem pole has an element of creativity and style. Information is presented in a clear manner.	Good The totem pole is clear and logical and contains very few mistakes.	Fair The totem pole shows some understanding of the subject matter, but contains errors. It lacks style, neatness and clarity.	Poor The totem pole does not reveal a clear understanding of the subject matter and there are many errors. It lacks neatness and clarity.
Totem Pole - SYMBOLS	Excellent There are 4-5 symbols represented on the totem pole.	Good There are 3 symbols represented on the totem pole.	Fair There are 2 symbols represented on the totem pole.	Poor There is 1 (or no) symbol represented on the totem pole.
Oral Presentation	Excellent The student is well-prepared, presents the information clearly, and displays a complete understanding of the information.	Good The student presents the information clearly and displays a reasonable understanding of the information.	Fair The information presented is not clearly displayed consistently throughout the project.	Poor Not enough preparation was done for the presentation of the information. It therefore lacks the expected elements.
