Charlotte's Web Project - Rubric 
This project is a diorama or story box and is in connection with a Charlotte's Web novel study. The purpose is to create a project that includes information on the story of Wilber and Charlotte. It should show the student's favorite scene from the novel.

The project includes all information relevant to the student's favorite part or scene in the story of Charlotte's Web. It shows at least five details from the reading.
Good

Fair

Project does not have all of the relevant information. There is not enough of the scene shown to tell when it happened in the story.
Poor

The project is lacking in elements required. There are no details from the reading in the information presented.
Work quality/effort

Exceeds

The work done exceeds all expectations and shows that the learner is proud of his/her work. The effort that was put into this task is the best it can be by the learner.
Good

The work was done with good effort that shows what the learner is capable of. It is evident that time was put into this diorama project.
Fair

Work is done with fair effort, but the quality is still not what the learner is capable of. It is evident that the work was rushed.
Poor

Work is done with little effort, quality is not what the learner is capable of. It is evident that the work was rushed and little time was spent on the final product. Work is incomplete.
Style/Mechanics

Exceeds

The project has an element of creativity and style, and is not just a copy of the class example. The diorama is presented in a clear and concise manner with full understanding of the subject. It has a title, the creator's name, and is evident of the learner's favorite part of the novel.
Good

The project is clear and logical and contains facts as well as very few mistakes. Good clear presentation. It has a title, the creator's name, and is evident of the learner's favorite part of the novel.
Fair

The project lacks style and may be missing key details such as the title and student's name. The diorama lacks neatness and clarity.
Poor

The project lacks a clear understanding of the subject matter and does not depict a part of the novel. It may be missing a title or name. Diorama is not creative.
