Use of own words	Poor Did not attempt to put assignment in own words. Copied or did not complete this part of the assignment.	Fair Used own words for some of the summary, but did not use own words for the enitire assignment.	Good Used own words for the enitire assignment.
Use of 10 Facts/terms	Poor Did not use any information from the article	Fair Used less than 10 facts or terms in writing of the summary.	Good Used 10 or more facts or terms in the writing of the summary. Facts were clearly gathered from article.
Order of Sentences	Poor Sentences are not in order and the summary does not make sense.	Fair Sentences for 1/2 of the paper are in order but not in the entire summary.	Good Sentences for the entire paper make sense. Placement of facts and terms makes sense in the order of the summary
Followed Directions	Poor Did not follow any of the four steps.	Fair Followed 2 of the 4 steps but did not complete all 4.	Good Completed all 4 steps. Clearly read the articles, made notes, placed ideas in own words, and read over work to check for mistakes.
