Thankful Turkey 
Students will create a "I am thankful" placemat. There needs to be four reasons for why the student is thankful. Each feather will contain a different sentence; there will be four feathers in total.

The 3 sentences go beyond simple sentences; the student uses complex sentences to describe what he/she is thankful for. The student uses correct capitalization and punctuation throughout their sentences. The student clearly took his/hers time with writing neatly.
