Insect Model and Report Rubric
The students will design their own arthropod to present during their oral presentation. The arthropod must a modeled after one of the following: crustacean, spider, insect, centipede or millipede. The student will draw a diagram of their arthropod and label it completely. The student will complete an Arthropod Activity Report looking at the different characteristics of an arthropod. The oral presentation must be aligned with the model.

Work is done with little effort, quality is not what the learner is capable of. It is evident that the work was rushed and little time was spent on the final product. Model is incomplete.

5 or fewer sections are included in the research and/or are not complete. Sections are not be clearly marked. The background information lack a clear understanding of the subject matter and there are many errors. Work is not in student's own words.
Presentation
Exceeds
The student spoke clearly and presented their information with complete understanding of the insect. It is evident that the student had prepared what they will say.
Good-Meet standards
The student spoke clearly and presented a good amount of the information about their arthropod as expected.
Fair
The student did not appear to understand or know information about their insect.
Poor
The student chose not to speak.
Neatness-Written report
Exceeds
Project exceptionally neat. Clearly, extra effort was made to attend to details.
Good-Meet standards
Project very neat. Nice handwriting or typing was used. It was evident that the student took their time to make the project look nice.
Fair
The report lack neatness and clarity.
Poor
It is evident that the work was rushed and little time was spent on the final product.
