You are the Teacher History Lesson 
Teaching groups will select a chapter from the first four chpaters of unit 1 in the textbook. Teaching groups will produce a lesson, complete with presentation, an exciting activity and an informative worksheet. Each group will practice their lesson in class before presenting their activity to the 9th grade students.

Team uses some creativity to explain the topic. There was an attempt to use a visual aide. The presentation was approximately 45 minutes long. The group had a decent explanation of the topic and identify it correctly. The presentation was fairly organized.
Good

Team uses creativity to explain the grammar topic. A visual aide was used. This 45 minute presentation explains the topic and how to identify it correctly. Everything was presented in an organized manner.
Worksheet

The worksheet provided a good review for the understanding of the topic.

Poor

Worksheet is boring and includes little or no practice. The presentation is well under 45 minutes long or far exceeds 45 minutes.
Fair

Worksheet is somewhat interesting and somewhat helps students practice. Worksheet provides some opportunities to practice. The worksheet portion of the presentation is complete in approximately 45 minutes.
Good

Worksheet is interesting and will help students practice their topic. Worksheet provides many opportunities for practice. No more and no less than 45 minutes.
Activity

This activity will aid in the review of information and gives practice of knowledge in an interesting way.

Poor

Activity does not prove that students understand and know the topic. The activity is not fun or creative. The activity does not refer to the lesson or reinforce the knowledge gained in the lesson. The presentation is well under or far exceeds 45 minutes.
Fair

Activity attempts to provide an opportunity for students to prove their understanding and knowledge of the topic. Activity is somewhat creative and fun. Activity has a fun element in it, while reinforcing knowledge. The presentation is complete in approximately 45 minutes.
Good

A person with this team role will be in charge of creating an opportunity for students to prove that they understand and know the topic. This activity must be creative and fun. Activities provide students with the opportunity to have fun while using their new found knowledge. The activity makes the lesson memorable, while reinforcing what was learned. No more and no less than 45 minutes.
Teamwork

The students show how well they work together in order to create a comprehensive teaching unit.

Poor

Group does not work together to complete any task or portion of the presentation. Team does not demonstrate progress since the classroom presentation.
Fair

The team attempts to work together and support each other to complete the assignment. The team shows an attempt at progress since the classroom presentation.
Good

The group works together to complete the assignment. a Team shows progress since class presentation.
Assessment

The assessment given by the team proves the class understands the information given.

Poor

Students express a poor or vague grasp of the topic. Questions only reflect the knowledge or comprehension section of Bloom's Taxonomy. Students are unable to answer questions or show knowledge of the topic.
Fair

Students express a decent understanding and can answer most questions about the topic. The questions used in the assessment are from the knowledge to analysis sections of Bloom's Taxonomy.
Good

Students express mastery of topic. The questions used in the assessment cover all sections of Bloom's Taxonomy and easily assess the students' understanding of the topic taught in class.
