Introduction/Conclusion Sentence	Poor Has an incomplete introduction and concluding sentence.	Fair Has an introduction sentence telling what the reader will read about. Has a concluding sentence telling what the reminding the reader what they read.	Great Has a complete introduction sentence telling what the reader will read about. Has a complete concluding sentence telling what the reminding the reader what they read.
Detail Sentences	Poor The detail sentences writen are incomplete they do not tell the reader about the sea creature. I am confused I do not know what your sea creature does or looks.	Fair There are three detail sentences that tell me about the see creature. I now know how the sea creature looks and what it does.	Great There are four great detail sentences! I can imagine how the sea creature looks and what it does in real life!
Drawing and coloring	Poor The picture does not show the sea creature researched. I drew the wrong sea creature!	Fair The picture does show the sea creature but it was not neatly done. I can see the picture but I do not know what it is.	Great The picture was clear and neatly done. I can tell what the sea creature is just by looking at the picture.
Neatness	Poor I did not take my time and I did not try my best to do a great job.	Fair I took my time but it is a little sloppy. I have too many eraser marks.	Great I took my time this looks very neat. There are not many eraser marks.
