Organization	ADVANCED Organization of information is highly effective. The student has a strong introduction and conclusion and has helpful transitions.	PROFICIENT Organization of information is effective. The student has an introduction and conclusion and has transitions.	BASIC Organization of information is somewhat effective. The student has either an introduction or conclusion and has few transitions.	BELOW BASIC Information is not presented in an organized way. The student has a weak or no introduction and conclusion and has few or no transitions.
Language	ADVANCED The student consistently uses correct language, has strong word choices and has little to no difficulty with word pronunciations.	PROFICIENT The student mostly uses correct language, has effective word choices and has little to no difficulty with word pronunciations.	BASIC The student sometimes uses correct language, has few effective word choices and has some difficulty with word pronunciations.	BELOW BASIC The student rarely uses correct language, has few or no effective word choices and has many problems with word pronunciations.
Speech Patterns	ADVANCED The student consistently speaks clearly, audibly and at an appropriate pace. The student uses very few fillers such as "um" or "like".	PROFICIENT The student frequently speaks clearly, audibly and at an appropriate pace. The student uses some fillers such as "um" or "like".	BASIC The student sometimes speaks clearly, audibly and at an appropriate pace. The student uses fillers such as "um" or "like". Communication with Audience	ADVANCED The student makes consistent eye contact and has strong posture. The student skillfully addresses the audience's questions.	PROFICIENT The student makes frequent eye contact and has strong posture. The student effectively addresses the audience's questions.	BASIC The student makes minimal eye contact and has may slouch or lean. The student is able to answer some of the audience's questions.	BELOW BASIC The student makes no eye contact and has constatnly slouches or leans. The student is not able to answer the audience's questions.
