Lap Book Students will be able to include all of the activities from the centers in a lap book in which they will be able to explain the Underground Railroad and analyze how did Americans resist slavery in the 19th century. Analysis	Poor Student has 0 to 1 details pertaining to the question of how Americans resisted slavery in the 19th century.	Good Student has 2 to 3 details pertaining to the question of how Americans resisted slavery in the 19th century.	Exemplary Student has included 3 or more details pertaining to the question of how Americans resisted slavery in the 19th century.
Mechanics	Poor Student has made 5+ grammatical and/or spelling errors.	Good Student has made 3 to 4 grammatical and/or spelling errors.	Exemplary Student has made 1 to 2 grammatical and/or spelling errors.
Creativity	Poor Student has only 1 to 2 pictures that are related to the Underground Railroad. Very few decorations on the front.	Good Student has 4 to 5 pictures that are related to the Underground Railroad with decorations on the front. Only two to three phrases are on the lap book that relate to the Underground Railroad. Neatness/Organization	Poor Student does not have a mannerly order to the lap book (assignments are just glued in random places) and the work is not clean and neat.	Good Student shows some organization in the book with only a couple of assignments seeming out of place. The lap book is overall neat with only a couple of mishaps.	Exemplary Students shows that their book is set in a mannerly order while being clean and neat.
