Student did not participate at all. Did not collaborate with other students when instructed. Did not participate in mock election. Did not attempt to answer any question and handed in little to no effort work.

Student was paying attention. Did not speak out loud nor give feedback to assigned groups. Student was participating by just going through the motions
Good
Student was actively engaged in all activities. They worked with groups completely and volunteered often. Showed interest in learning the topic. Participated fully in mock election, and always contributed to group work.
Terrific
Ran for the election and campaigned very properly. Participated in ballot, and explained their thoughts on it to the class and offered a new way that they wish the election was. Very outgoing and very into the lesson.
Worksheets/Reflections
Poor
Student did not complete given worksheets. Did not give any effort into reflection responses. Completely off topic in responses. Did not engage with group work.
Fair
Students completed worksheets and reflection paragraphs but did not fully understand the information. Engaged in group but did not contribute. Short responses and not fully completed worksheets.
Good
Fully engaged in contributing into group work. Understood what was assigned and completed it fully. Filled out detailed reflections and filled out entire worksheet.
Terrific
Went into precise detail on paper. Showed in class but showed even more on paper. Went above and beyond what was asked and helped students around. student led their group and helped other groups as well.
Final Assessment
Poor
Did not complete the final assessment in given length (2 pages). Did not talk about what was told, went off topic. Did not collaborate with group.
Fair
Completed assignment length, but content was not completely accurate. Engaged in group work but did not put full effort in.
Good
Completed assignment fully and accurately. Showed that the student understood what was taught and was fully engaged in group work, worksheets, and final reflection.
Terrific
Went out of their way to teach others what they already knew. He clearly understood what was asked. Added additional information that was not taught, student went out of his way to learn more on his own time.
Understandment
Poor
No effort to understand. This lesson was very hands on and interactive. Student did not want to meet with group nor participate when asked to.
Fair
Student would one day be involved and not the next. Not constituent effort. This was reflected in final work.
Good
Student understood assignments well. Could use a little more detail and help but overall showed the effort and contributed.
Terrific
Exceeded all expectations. Went above and beyond for the group and was a leader. Understood 100% and could relay all information back to me. Fully engaged in every activity.
