Quality of construction	Poor * Mask is put together messy. * Little care and lack of attention has been made to details on construction. *Painting is sloppily done.	Good * Mask is put together with neatness in mind but some areas are a little messy. * Painting is somewhat neat with some drips and fuzzy edges. * Construction is mostly unified throughout sculpture and shows some craftsmanship.	Excellent * Mask is neatly attached to canvas. * Painting of the piece shows attention to detail. *Painting is NEAT. No drips, no smears, or no fuzzy edges. Overall construction of piece is clean, and shows craftsmanship.
Creative Use of Design	Poor * Designed is copied from the internet or another student's work. *Student did not follow instructions on project requirements.	Good * Design is copied from the internet and modified. Design is simple but shows thought was put into it. Design is somewhat whimsical, as required by instructions.	Excellent * Design of artwork is original. Design shows complexity. Design is whimsical, as required by instructions.
Appearance	Poor * Face Sculpture is not visually appealing and has no originallity. *Mask is obvious.	Good * Overall appearance shows that normal effort was made and met. *Parts of the Mask are somewhat hidden, parts are still visible.	Excellent Overall appearance shows great effort. Mask is well hidden with painting per instructions.
Effort, Attitude, Use of Class Time	Poor Student has no regard for class time, needs redirection constantly, and does not respect other students in the classroom, the teacher, or the artroom and supplies.	Good Student does not always use class time well and needs to be redirected back to the project by the teacher. Student is not always respectful of the teacher, fellow students, the art room and supplies in the class. Instructions need to be repeated and student does not follow them on first request from the teacher.	Excellent Student utilized class time well for the completion of the project. Student is respectful to the teacher,fellow students, the artroom and supplies in the class.Student listens to directions and follows them on first request.
