Little or no evidence of understanding and/or execution of objective. Student has developed their image completely with printed images with little thought or consideration to layout and design.

Less than average understanding and/or execution of objective. Student has developed their image completely with printed images with some good thought and consideration to layout and design.
Accomplished

Proficiency evident. Student has created an image that focuses on a small hand drawn aspect in combination with printed images.
Mastery

Exhibits definitive care, effort & skill in all aspects. Student has created an image that focuses on a minimum of one well developed hand drawn aspect.
Image Transfer and Carving
20 pts

Beginning

Little or no evidence of understanding and/or execution of objective. Student did not do any pre-planning, drawing directly onto the plate. Carving required frequent adjustments.
Developing

Less than average understanding and/or execution of objective. The transfer process was challenging and the carving required some adjustment from the original.
Accomplished

Proficiency evident. Student developed an image transfer that gave them the ability to do their cut work with a good level of accuracy. Some areas were "fudged" to work with the overall design.

Exhibits definitive care, effort & skill in all aspects. Student created a good image transfer which let them develop their cut design with precision.

All prints in the edtion are turned and all are of excellent quality. All parts of the image and the edges of the block are crisp and clear. All of the prints are titled, signed/dated, and numbered.
