Speaking Rubric
	Excelente 3 pts	Bien 2 pts	Regular 1 pts
Pronuniciation	Excelente 0 - 2 mistakes, but is readily understood by any listener. Hears and self-corrects any incorrect pronunciation, 0-1 repeated phrases	Bien 3-4 oral mistakes. Responses mostly comprehensible. Pronunciation does not hinder communication. Hears and self-corrects incorrect pronunciation, repeats a phrase 1-2 times.	Regular 5+ oral mistakes. Hears but does not self-correct, often repeats phrases.
Grammar Accuracy	Excelente Excellent control of basic linguistic patterns. Uses the correct verb and infinitives appropriate to topic.	Bien 3-4 mistakes with responses mostly appropriate and adequately developed.	Regular 6 or more mistakes. Does not place words in correct order (ej - adjectives after nouns).
Fluency/Comfort	Excelente Good command of vocabulary. Can speak within basic dialogue structure for the required time. Can be understood by any listener.	Bien Can speak in complete basic sentences of 3 or more words. Needs to pause for organization and or/clarification, but just needs time to answer.	Regular Gives only one word responses. Pauses frequently to "remember" sentences rather than speak naturally.
Vocabulary Usage	Excelente Demonstrated a wide variety of vocabulary present from previous level.	Bien Demonstrated some use of vocabulary present in previous level.	Regular Demonstrated little vocabulary used in previous level and created minimal descriptions.
