Beginning	Excellent - 5 The story has a creative, well-developed beginning that captures the reader's interest.	Good - 4 The story has a beginning that may capture the reader's interest.	Average - 3 The story has a beginning, but it does not capture the reader's attention.	Let's Talk - 2 The beginning of the story is vague and uncreative.
Supporting Paragraphs	Excellent - 5 There are three supporting paragraphs each one is indented and has its own topic sentence.	Good - 4 There are two - three supporting paragraphs. Each one is indented and has a topic sentence. The topic is described adequately and makes sense most of the time.	Average - 3 There is only one supporting paragraph and it may or may not be indented. The topic is not described very well and sometimes doesn't make sense.	Let's Talk - 2 There is only one big paragraph that may or may not be indented. The topic in the story is described poorly.
Conclusion	Excellent - 5 The story ends creatively and completely and the conclusion ties into the story. There is closure to the paper.	Good - 4 The story ends completely and ties into the story for the most part. There is some closure to the paper.	Average - 3 The story ends abruptly and there is no sense of closure to the paper.
