Lip of Vase	Progressing The top edge has had no special attention. It is uneven and there are some cracks.	Proficient The top edge shows some attention but could use more purposeful design and care in smoothing.	Advanced Attention is paid to the design of the top edge of the vase or pitcher. It is has no cracks and is smooth and even as intended.
Base of Vase	Progressing The bottom of the pot has had no special attention. It is uneven and there are thin, rough, edges	Proficient The bottom of the pot has had some attention but needs more work in making it smooth and uniform.	Advanced Attention is given to the design of the bottom edge. It has been smoothed and designed as intended
twist	Progressing There are few to no curvatures	Proficient there is some curvature/twist to the piece	Advanced Twist and curvature has been thoughtfully applied and ties the whole pot together.
Craftsmanship	Progressing Student used some of their time well but also took several breaks. The design could use some work. The sides of the vase have some visible bumps and may even have some cracks.	Proficient Student used their time well to make a nice slab vase that has a clean design. The vase is mostly smooth and has no visible cracks.	Advanced Student took time and great care to make a slab vase that is well thought out and put together. Sides of vase are smooth and have no visible cracking.
