Limited

Little or no commentary, explanations, or opinions of the evidence, or has no connection to the thesis.
Basic

Makes vague, simplistic, or inaccurate commentary on the evidence, and may not support the thesis.
Quote is not explained or introduced.
Strong

Develops reasonable and accurate commentary on the evidence and thesis, although it may be inconsistent.
Quote is minimally explained and/or introduced.
Excellent

Includes precise, insightful, and explicit commentary that elaborates consistently on both the evidence and the thesis.
Quote is fully explained and introduced.
