Does not meet expectations

No power point or poster or model included.
Approaching expectations

Some instructions were followed, but is missing two or more of the following: type of volcano being described, type of eruption, image of at least one specific example of this type of volcano, volcano vocabulary, the structure of this type of volcano and the dangers of this type of volcano.
Minimally meets expectations

Some instructions were followed, but is missing one of the following: type of volcano being described, type of eruption, image of at least one specific example of this type of volcano, one example of a past eruption of this type of volcano, most volcano vocabulary included and used correctly, the structure of this type of volcano, and the dangers of this type of volcano.
Meets expectations

Instructions were followed: type of volcano being described thoroughly explained, eruption is described (description includes speed of magma movement.
Exceeds expectations

All instructions were followed thoroughly, with care and focus on detail: type of volcano being described throughly explained including explanation of how it formed; description of eruption of volcano includes speed of magma flow and type of eruption (explosive or not) and the dangers of the eruption; 3 or more specific examples and images of this type.
Appearance of Visual Representatio

Missing two or more of the following information: magma type, eruption type, effects of this type of eruption, general location of volcano type, specific location in the world of volcano, whether specific volcanoes are active or dormant in the world.
Minimally meets expectations

Missing one of the following info on this volcano: magma type, eruption type, effects of this type of eruption, general location of volcano type, specific location in the world of volcano, whether specific volcanoes are active or dormant in the world.

Presentation: Illustrations

Does not meet expectations

No illustration included
Approaching expectations

Student provided one small report that did not demonstrate the volcano or plate activity.
Minimally meets expectations

Student provided one report, but the standard was poor and there was little understanding of volcanic processes evident. Illustration messily attached to poster.
Meets expectations

Student provided one or more reports, the standard was acceptable, and volcanic processes understanding was average. Illustrations neatly attached to poster.
Exceeds expectations

Student provided two or more reports to a high standard, demonstrating superior understanding of volcanic processes. Contains a color world map showing specific volcano locations. Illustrations neatly attached to poster.
