General Grading Rubric
	Needs Improvement 20 pts	Average 30 pts	Good 40 pts	Excellent 50 pts
Meeting Goals/Objectives	Needs Improvement Student attempts poorly or less than 70% of the time in order to meet the goals or objectives that are stated in their IEP; which are the main focus of their teaching instruction.	Average Student makes some attempts or attempts 70%-79% of the time time, in order to meet the goals or objectives that are stated in their IEP; which are the main focus of their teaching instruction.	Good Student makes strong attempts and 80%-89% of the time of the time, in order to meet the goals or objectives that are stated in their IEP; which are the main focus of their teaching instruction.	Excellent Student makes excellent attempts and 90% of the time or more, in order to meet the goals or objectives that are stated in their IEP; which are the main focus of their teaching instruction.
Participation	Needs Improvement Student participates poorly during classroom or program instruction time. Student does not follow classroom rules well, or at all.	Average Student attempts to participate during classroom or program instruction time. The majority of the time, the student abides by classroom rules.	Good Student stays in task the majority of the time in classroom and participates during classroom or program instruction time. The student abides by the majority of classroom rules.	Excellent Student always participates during classroom or program instruction time. The student abides by all classroom rules.
Academic Programs	Needs Improvement The student does not try to make academic gains by working in their individual instructional program. Student is not willing to follow the academic program procedures as taught by the classroom teacher.	Average Student somewhat attempts to make academic gains by working in their individual academic instructional program. Student is mostly willing to follow the academic program procedures as taught by the classroom teacher.	Good Student makes strong attempts to make academic gains by working in their individual academic instructional program. Student is willing to follow the academic program procedures as taught by the classroom teacher.	Excellent Student makes strong attempts to make academic gains by working in their individual academic instructional program.
