Fair Orientation offers some information but needs more to increase the engagement of the reader.	Good Orientation gives good information that helps the reader become engaged by addressing 'who', 'when' and 'where'.	Excellent Orientation provides interesting and engaging information that hooks the reader. Uses interesting sentence starters and addresses 'who', 'when' and 'where' clearly.
Record of events/ Personal comment Gives a record of events in a chronological order.<BR> Provides personal comments throughout the record of events.	Poor Attempts to write a record of events but fails to provide main ones or order them in a correct sequence. 3 or less facts present.	Fair Some record of events and personal comments are given. Sequence may not be well ordered. 4 -6 facts present.	Good Record of main events and personal comments are given in a chronological order.7 - 9 facts present.	Excellent Records main events and personal comments using interesting and engaging language and demonstrates personality through their writing.10 or more facts present.
Spelling correct spelling throughout the text	Poor Work hasn't been checked properly, more than 4 mistakes have been found.	Fair Work could have been checked with more care, 3 - 4 mistakes found.	Good Majority of the work is correct with 1 -2 mistakes found.	Excellent No mistakes found.
Grammar Uses nouns and pronouns, action verbs, past tense, conjunctions and time connectives, adverbs and adverbial phrases and adjectives to describe nouns.	Poor Uses little to no grammar in writing. More than 4 mistakes found	Fair Has tried to use correct grammar but requires more checking with 3 - 4 mistakes found.
