Listening Ability Listening Ability Here are the way to know how good you are in English Listening. 	Poor 1 pts	Fair 2 pts	Good 3 pts
Listening Process	Poor Student is having a hard time receiving, attending, and assigning meaning to words spoken.	Fair Student is receiving information, but is having a hard time attending to it and assigning meaning.	Good Student is comprehending what is being said because they are receiving, attending, and assigning meaning to what they hear.
Ability to focus	Poor The student was not able to concentrate on the listening task and was easily distracted and inattentive.	Fair The student found it difficult to concentrate on the listening task, but was able to attend occasionally.	Good The student was mostly attentive and usually able to listen with good concentration.
General Understanding	Poor Student did not understand enough vocabulary or information to answer the questions.	Fair While the student did not understand a lot of the vocabulary and information, he/she was able to complete some of the questions.	Good The student showed a good general understanding of the vocabulary and information, with most questions completed.
Listening for details	Poor Student was unable to grasp specific details when listening, and did not include them in the answers.	Fair Although the student showed a limited ability to listen for details, specific information was occasionally included.	Good The student was able to include most specific information and details in his/her answers.
Remembering Info.	Poor Student is struggling to remember what was said or taught because of their lack of listening strategies.	Fair Student uses strategies to enhance listening abilities, but lacks difference in efferent and aesthetic listening.	Good Student uses strategies to enhance listening abilities, but lacks difference in efferent and aesthetic listening.
Accuracy of answers	Poor The student's answers were mostly left out or unrelated to the information given.	Fair The student included a small amount of information, however, a lot was left out or was not accurate.	Good Answers were mostly accurate and related to the information given, with a only a few errors.
