Point of View	Exceeds Standards The entire story reflects chosen point of view (the whole story is told through the eyes of the chosen character). The view of the chosen character is insightful and consistent.	Meets Standards Most of the story reflects the chosen point of view. Minor errors depicting point of view. The view of the chosen character is thoughtful and mostly consistent.	Approaching Standards Some of the story reflects the chosen point of view (follow the character's point of view some of the time). The view of the character is straightforward and simple but may be inconsistent in places.	Below Standards The story hardly ever reflects the chosen point of view (doesn't follow the character's point of view). The view of the character is inconsistent with the time period or personality of the character and/or switches back and forth.
Follows Format of Original Story	Exceeds Standards Story follows order and plot of original scene, with many creative elements added.	Meets Standards Story follows order of original scene and all important plot details are present.	Approaching Standards Story follows basic order of original scene, but important plot details are missing.	Below Standards Story leaves out key elements of the original scene, both in plot and sequence.
