Kindergarten Keyboarding Skills.
	Beginning 1 pts	Developing 2 pts	Meets 3 pts	Exceeds 4 pts
Home Row	Beginning Student is not able to demonstrate proper home row finger placement.	Developing Student demonstrates proper home row finger placement with assistance.	Meets Student demonstrates proper home row finger placement when asked.	Exceeds Student always begins using the keyboard with their fingers in home row and always returns to home row after each keystroke.
Posture	Beginning Student cannot sit up straight at the computer or keep their eyes on the monitor.	Developing Students sits up straight at the computer and keeps eyes on the monitor when asked.	Meets Student sits up straight at the computer and keeps eyes on the monitor most of the time.	Exceeds Student sits up straight at the computer with eyes on the monitor at all times.
Top Row	Beginning Student does not attempt to type the top row keys with the correct fingers while keeping the rest of their fingers on the home row.	Developing Student attempts to type the top row keys with the correct fingers while keeping the rest of their fingers on the home row when reminded or with assistance.	Meets Student types the top row keys with the correct fingers while keeping the rest of their fingers on the home row when reminded or with assistance.	Exceeds Student always types the top row keys with the correct fingers while keeping the rest of their fingers on the home row.
Bottom Row	Beginning Student does not attempt to type the bottom row keys with the correct fingers while keeping the rest of their fingers on the home row.
