Knowledge of choreography 20 %	Poor Remembers a few of the steps/ movements and tries, but looks lost and out of sync with others. Watches other members most of the time.	Developing Remembers a some of the steps/ movements and tries, but is occasionally out of sync with others. Watches other members of the routine.	Good Demonstrates some knowledge of choreography, but unsure of some movements. Sometimes hesitates/ makes some errors	Superior Demonstrates excellent knowledge of the choreography and does it well.
Technical Skills 20 %	Poor LITTLE understanding of technical elements demonstrated in performance.	Developing SOME understanding of technical elements (ie. footwork, quality of movements, body positions) demonstrated in performance.	Good Good understanding of MOST technical elements (ie. footwork, quality of movements, body positions) demonstrated in performance.	Superior Student performed with attention to ALL details of technique, AND HAS attained proficiency in routine style.
Performance Skills 20 %	Poor The student is NOT focused, concentrated or committed to performance.	Developing The student is SOMETIMES focused, concentrated and/or committed to performance.	Good The student is generally focused, but only SOME attempt made to communicate with others on stage or audience.	Superior The student communicates WELL with audience through eye contact, facial and/or body expression. They “preform” the entire routine.
Rhythm/Temp 20 %	Poor Attempts to keep a rhythm, but gets off beat and speeds up or falls behind OFTEN. Doesn't follow beat in music.	Developing Attempts to keep a rhythm, but SOMETIMES gets off beat. Occasionally falls behind and/or speeds up in places or makes errors in rhythm.	Good Shows a good understanding of tempo and beat. May fall behind and/or speeds up in a few (3 or less) places or makes errors in rhythm.	Superior Accurate in beat, tempo,and rhythms of routine as well as sequences of the time.
Tosses 20 %	Poor Displayed little control of flag and or toss was not caught/attempted.	Developing Displayed some control of flag and/or a toss was not caught.
