The student will create an original piece of artwork from American history. The artwork should be at least 14x17 inches in size. The artwork needs to demonstrate artistic ability. A written explanation in MLA format must be submitted through Google Classroom.

Written Explanation
Excellent
The written aspect of the project is complete and includes at least two work cited sources. The written aspect contains appropriate in text citations.
Good
The written aspect is good. There are not enough in text citations.
Fair
The written aspect is incomplete and contains little information about the subject of the artwork. There is little evidence of research nor in text citations.
Poor
No written aspect was turned with the artwork.
